Cape Town - Cintron Africa, in association with 5FM and MK, have confirmed that multi-Grammy Award winner, DJ and producer, David Guetta, will be touring South Africa on 14 and 15 October 2011 at the St Yves Music Festival.

Guetta will be live on stage in South Africa with Akon, his Sexy B**ch collaborator, and a hip hop star. The artists will perform in Cape Town and then Johannesburg following closely on the heels of the international launch for Guetta’s new album – Nothing But The Beat.

Supporting acts include two renowned US DJs who are ranked amongst the Top 25 American DJs – Joe Bermudez and DJ Jenny LaFemme.

'Crossing boundaries'

In addition to the international stars live on stage, local pop/dance act Jax Panik will open the festival. Popular local DJ Dean Fuel, who has opened for some of the world’s top DJs touring South Africa, will also be performing, along with 5FM’s Poppy.

Tracey Lee Cohen, MD of Cintron Africa says that the event will give South Africa "a true international live music experience crossing boundaries, mixed with the freshest local talent."

Venue details will be confirmed on Tuesday, along with ticket details; tickets will go on sale this week through Computicket. R5 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Trust – which represents various charitable organisations in Southern Africa.
