Cape Town - Many fans think it was foolish of Die Antwoord to say no to the opportunity to tour with pop diva Lady Gaga.
Others think Lady Gaga's music will have a bad influence on the group.
According to lead singer Ninja, the Cape Town zef rap group said no, and will not accompany Gaga on her Born This Way tour. The tour starts in April in Seoul, South Korea.
'Shitty' pop group
In a recent interview with MTV News, Ninja and Yo-Landi revealed that many strange things have been happening, including being asked to tour with Lady Gaga. According to the group, they said no to Lady Gaga because they see themselves as being on a different level than her.
"Lady Gaga asked us to tour with her and we were like, um, no thanks," said lead singer, Ninja.
The zef rappers are currently touring Australia.
They went on to claim that they left their previous record label, Interscope Records, because they tried to change them into a "shitty" pop group in the mould of Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas.
Twitter
Twitter was buzzing over the "invite" which Die Antwoord declined. Fans of Lady Gaga immediately made themselves heard as the news spread.
"Die Antwoord says no to tour with Lady Gaga, why? Because she's not zef enough and doesn't use the p-word in every second sentence?" a Lady Gaga fan tweeted.
Another fan tweeted: "So Die Antwoord decline the offer to tour with Lady Gaga :/ ..IDIOTS!!"
A fan of Die Antwoord tweeted: "Lady Gaga must feel dumb after Die Antwoord said no to her."
"Die Antwoord turns down touring with Lady Gaga. Are we REALLY convinced their stupidity is just an act?" tweeted Capetonian @DiscordianKitty
Another user @AusiDineo said: "Let me get this right: Die Antwoord turned down Lady Gaga because her music(according to them) is weak, superficial sh*t?...self-hate much?"
