Kylie Minogue exploded onto the music scene in 1987 and has not only become a chart topping, multi-award winning global artist over the past two decades, but also a fashion icon, designer, entrepreneur, actress and philanthropist.
She broke records and made history with her 1988 debut album, Kylie, which entered the charts at No 1 and became the first album by a female solo artist to exceed sales of two million in the UK and ultimately going seven-times platinum.
Before becoming a multi-Grammy award-winner, Kylie first made her mark with her 1987 remake of The Locomotion which hit No1 on the Australian singles chart and remained in the top spot for seven weeks, becoming the biggest Australian single of the 80s; a staggering two decades later Kylie achieved the record for the most played female artist on UK radio over the last 20 years.
In addition to the Grammys, Kylie has dominated the awards circuit, having been nominated for and winning countless awards both in the US and internationally.
