EXCLUSIVE: Shortstraw releases NEW music video

Cape Town - Rock stars, Shortstraw, is releasing the much anticipated video for their latest single, The Wedding Blues on Channel 24 first!

We have gone through that stage in our lives (or are going to) when our friends are getting married and we’re obliged to troddle along to the nuptials.

Sometimes they’re sweet, sometimes...not so much.

Your favourite local indie band is no different and they decided to showcase the worst of those times in a way that will brighten up your day. Here’s what the MTV Africa best alternative nominees had to say about it; “The video was shot at the Marks Park Sports Club Clubhouse over the course of one afternoon earlier this year and Shortstraw combined forces with the comedic geniuses at Team Best to help them recreate a disaster of a 90s wedding.

The song itself is inspired by every wedding you have gone to where things fall apart and everyone gets super rowdy off the open bar, which is basically every wedding ever. The music video for THE WEDDING BLUES also features Shane Durrant with the band members themselves dressed in white suits in the 90s - an era they all love.”
