Eminem drops new track

Los Angeles - Eminem has surprised released a new track, Survival.

The rapper's latest song features on computer game Call of Duty: Ghosts and is also expected to be included on his forthcoming new album, set for release before the end of the year.

The guitar-heavy track sees the star in a typically angry mood, bragging about his skills and longevity in the rap industry.

In one verse he says: "And if there should ever come a time where my life's in a rut / And I look like I might just give up / You might have mistook me for bowing out / I ain't taking a bow / I'm stabbing myself.

"With a fucking knife in the gut / while I'm wiping my butt / Cause I just shitted on the mic, and like getting cut / I get excited at the sight of my blood, you're in a fight with a nut / Cause I'm gonna fight until I die or win."

Inspired again

One rapper quick to welcome Eminem back was P Diddy, who tweeted: "Damn it's a good week for Hip Hop!!! Made one of the greats Eminem drop a record!! This what's been missin!! (sic)"

The 40-year-old star has been in the studio working on the follow up to 2010's Recovery, but remained secretive about his intentions for his eighth album.

Dr Dre has confirmed he has worked on tracks with the star, and said producing for him finally made him want to lay down more tracks of his own.

He said: "Em is finishing up his project. And for me, I've just got inspired again to go back into the studio.

"I'm just really having fun with life and having fun with being creative and trying new and different things with myself."
