Faithless fans vent rage

Cape Town - Social network pages were ablaze with scorn and vitriol at the weekend, as Faithless concert-goers spared no feelings in venting their anger at promoter Real Concerts.

Several fans missed large parts of the Johannesburg show due to ticketing issues, while others complained that the headline act played too short a set.

On the Real Concerts Facebook fanpage, several people demanded their money back. "Was a sound check even done?" asked Kev Roy. "…and completely over booked the venue.... Verry verry dissapointing! (sic) If only we didn't have to pay upfront!"

Calvin Lee Campbell wrote: "I would just like to express my loathing for Real Concerts and your pathetic half assed attempt at running an event of that caliber! (sic) Every single point of contact at this event was a F#@k up! I will never attend an event run by your company again, and let it be know(n) I'm on a mission to spread the word! Waste of R400!"

Dessigen Naidoo was precise in his criticism: "There was almost a stampede at the entrance, still surprised how my friends and ...I were not hurt? (sic) The bars were rubbish, there were no food vendors, the venue setup was an abortion and appeared to be the after thought of an idiot. I will never attend another Real Concerts event!!!"

Real Concerts responded by posting on their website: "Real Concerts is doing a full investigation of the problems of Saturday night. We will revert back to complaints as soon as this is completed," to which Brandon Balsdon countered: "Maybe Real Concerts should consider apologising to their customers rather than just investigating."
