Cape Town – It’s only been two days since the release of Francois van Coke’s solo album and it looks like he’s already breaking records.

Together with the release of his self-titled album on Wednesday, he also released a music video for Toe Vind Ek Jou, which features Karen Zoid. Since its release, the video has garnered almost 100 000 views on YouTube. The views were standing at 97 421 at the time of publishing.

The song also climbed to the No 1 spot on the SA iTunes chart and is still sitting strong at the top.

Francois thanked fans for their support and told Channel24 on Friday: "Karen and I are overwhelmed with the massive reaction to the song. As far as I understand, this is the first time that an Afrikaans song is No 1 on the iTunes chart. Thanks so much to everyone that is also buying the full album. Enjoy it!"

Karen and Francois both took to Facebook on Friday morning to share the exciting news. They posted the following:
