Cape Town – Francois van Coke released his self-titled debut solo album and the music video for Toe Vind Ek Jou featuring Karen Zoid last Wednesday, 8 April, and the response has been beyond phenomenal.

Since the launch, Francois’ album and single, Toe Vind Ek Jou, simultaneously jumped to number 1 positions on the SA iTunes Store.

According to Rob Vember from the Kia Top40 SA with iTunes show on Saturdays on 947 and KFM, Francois’ single is the first South African release to hit the No 1 spot this year and the first Afrikaans No 1. This show is based solely on the live Top 40 songs chart on the South Africa iTunes Store.
