Golden Circle sold out for Usher

Cape Town – With just weeks to go before Grammy award winner Usher performs live at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, fans have snapped up all the Golden Circle tickets for the Hansa Festival of Legends.

Tickets are still available in all other categories - priced between R215 and R375 - for the March 10 event.

"We are seeing strong support from music fans in and around Gauteng, but ticket sales are coming from all corners of South Africa, including Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth," said Big Concerts spokesperson John Langford.

Festivalgoers have also been warned to purchase tickets directly from Computicket to avoid counterfeits.

"Our security staff are trained in spotting fakes, and even though you might believe you purchased a legitimate ticket from a friend or another website, you could find yourself denied entry into the venue (without a refund), or even arrested for possession of a fake ticket voucher," Langford said.

In addition to seeing Usher perform live, festivalgoers will also get to see six of South Africa's top rising urban music stars who will have competed for the chance to open for the R&B star next month.

"Hansa's team of Talent Search Ambassadors has scoured the country since November. Now the choice of the final six is in the hands of the public who can vote for their favourite performers online, or via their mobiles," says Hansa spokesperson Kelebogile Mashigo.

Vote for your regional finalist here or dial *120*793#. Voting closes on February 22 after which the six regional winners will be revealed on February 24. One artist from each region will go on to open for Usher at the Hansa Pilsener Festival of Legends at Orlando Stadium on 10 March.

The top 12 finalists are:

•    BigSize & Mo Klaasik (Free State)
•    Abdus & Mhlathi (Eastern Cape)
•    Ma’pakshop & Shumi (Gauteng - Pretoria)
•    Mo & The Dark Knights &The Muffinz (Gauteng - Johannesburg)
•    Busi M & Nonku Phiri (Western Cape)
•    H-Zwegellus & Shoelace (Eastern Cape)

Usher's performance at Orlando Stadium will be his only performance in South Africa.
