Cape Town - September sees the launch of a vibrant new show, Remember September – Hits of the 80s, at the Roxy Revue Bar, GrandWest.

Open to the public from 12 September 2014, the show takes music fans on a whirlwind trip down memory lane, back to the crazy 80s, when luminous and teased hair was cool.

It is 90 minutes of party-hearty music by a stellar cast of energetic performers and musicians that will have guests reminiscing – and leave them breathless!

Bringing the 80s back to life are John E, Celeste Schoeman and Elaine Fourie as lead vocalists;  Johan Liebenberg on guitar and vocals; Kevin Abbot on keyboard and vocals; Neil Payten on bass and Sheldon Yoko on drums.

"Revel and roll to unforgettable hits from outrageous 80s bands like Dire Straits, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Rush, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Bonny Tyler and more. You will dance and weave to old favourites like Celebration, All night long, Baby I love your way, Don’t worry about a thing, Part time lover, Ghostbusters and Fame.

"This is a high-energy show featuring excellent renditions of timeless 80s music that will have you captivated from start to finish," says Elouise Matthys, PR Manager at GrandWest.

Remember September – Hits of the 80s runs until 4 October 2014, with nightly shows from Wednesday to Saturday at 20h30. Tickets are available from Computicket at R90 each.
