Cape Town - Jack Parow's new video Byellville has been released.
The video - directed by Duvand Durand and Thomas Ferreira - is an irreverent take on "Bellville-culture" through the eyes of the oddball rapper.
The video is the first part of a three-part "storyline" concept.
"Ja, basically, it gets worse," says Parow. "I don't want to say too much more about it, but the whole thing feels like a bit of a Groundhog Day scenario... the whole scene gets worse as we go along."
The entire video was shot in the suburb of Bellville, perhaps lending a feeling of scenic authenticity to shoot.
Asked about any backlash that might occur from the video's frequent use of profanity, Parow is dismissive. "Ag, I'm not really concerned about any backlash or any of that stuff. Besides, a 'clean' version will be released for TV soon."
