Jagger, friends join supergroup

Paris - Mick Jagger has teamed up with four other international music stars to form a supergroup called SuperHeavy that will put out its first album on September 19, the AZ record label said on Monday.

Joining the Rolling Stones frontman for the project are Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, blue-eyed soul singer Joss Stone, reggae star Damian Marley, and "Slumdog Millionaire" composer AR Rahman.

AZ, part of the Universal music group, said SuperHeavy has been recording for several months in studios around the world. The first single off the album, Miracle Worker, will go on sale online on July 7.
