Washington - Pop star Janet Jackson wanted to find her most avid fans - and they are apparently in Asia.
After asking fans for suggestions over her website, Jackson announced that she would launch her world tour in Singapore on February 7. She will also perform in Hong Kong on February 14.
"Your votes are helping me decide where to bring this very intimate, very different show," she said in a statement issued on Monday.
The chart-topping singer and younger sister of late pop icon Michael Jackson plans to tour 35 cities in 2011 to promote her new album, which features 35 of her top hits.
Jackson last planned to tour Asia in 2009 with five concerts in Japan but cancelled them, with her promoter blaming the global economic crisis.
