Jay-Z will do duet with Beyonce

Los Angeles - Power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé have joined forces on a song for the first time in a decade, called Part II (On The Run), which will feature on the hip-hop star's upcoming record, Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Jay-Z broke the news of the exciting collaboration by sharing the track's lyric sheet - which showcased the words 'featuring Beyoncé' - via his new Samsung smartphone app, which will also be used to deliver the album on July 4.

Jay-Z raps: "She fell in love with the bad guy/ The bad guy/ What you doing with them rap guys/ Them rap guys/ They ain't see potential in me girl/ But you see it if it's you and me against the world/ Then so be it."

Past collaborations

The song is thought to be a follow-up to 2003's '03 Bonnie & Clyde, which saw the duo sing about all-encompassing love while dressed as a modern version of the infamous outlaws in the music video.

The hit song's release marked the beginning of speculation that the pop princess and rapper were an item, which was confirmed when they later duetted on Beyoncé's debut solo single Crazy In Love.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z - who have 17-month-old daughter Blue Ivy together - wed secretly in 2008 amid suggestions their romance wouldn't last because of the rap mogul's past run-ins with the law, and the new lyrics appear to be about their love standing the test of time in spite of their differences.
