Katy will be 'honest' in new album
The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker has revealed that she did some soul-searching prior to recording the follow-up to her smash hit third studio album, Teenage Dream, and has hinted it will be a more personal record.
In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, she said, "I've had a lot of time to reflect over some of the time I took off in the past year. I think that it'll continue to be what I always do, which is connecting to my core and trying to bring an honest message that people can relate to, because I think honesty is what everyone is looking for."
Katy will have plenty of inspiration for truthful songs on her new record following her divorce from comedian Russell Brand, and her new romance with fellow musician John Mayer.
