Cape Town – Kings of Leon's SA tour has "not been affected" by the cancellation of their US tour.
A brief note on Big Concert's Facebook page has sought to calm fan fears that the US rockers would not be honouring their scheduled dates in South Africa on October 26 and 29.
"Please note that the Kings of Leon South African dates are not affected by the US tour postponement," the statement read. "The SA tour is still scheduled for the end of October!"
No further comment was available from the promoters, and there was also no indication from the international press that the Kings non-US dates had been affected by the dramatic announcement on Monday.
The announcement of the US cancellation came after Caleb Followill left the stage mid-concert at the weekend. The reasons were variously ascribed to exhaustion, dehydration and "internal problems" in the band.
