Cape Town - Afrikaans singer and actor Kurt Darren has denied any allegations that he is having money troubles, reports Beeld.

Rumours started flaring up after Kurt put his farm in the Waterberg region up for auction. The daily newspaper Beeld reported that Kurt's manager Louis van Wyk dismissed these rumours.

"The rumours that Kurt is bankrupt are totally false. He hasn't been on the farm within the last six months and has simply outgrown the farm. He doesn't feel safe there anymore."

Kurt took to his Twitter page early on Tuesday to slam the rumours and put them to an end. He posted:

"There are so many stories about my personal business going around that are totally false, the newspapers have been looking for a scandal in every corner, but alas!! (sic)".

Soon after, he posted another series of tweets. "I am not going to let these stories get the best of me, I have worked hard through the years for what I have, and I appreciate every moment (sic)!"
He also took to thanking this loyal fans, saying that "he knows they will never disappoint him in the future".

The farm near Mookgophong, Naboomspruit, will be auctioned off on 28 November by Van's Auctioneers.

Van's Auctioneers' website refers to the farm as "Kurt Darren's prestigious bushveld game farm" and lists various features on the farm such as the 13 species of game, boreholes, farm buildings, loose assets and furniture that are included with the buy.

Mariska Strassburg from Van's Auctioneers believes that the farm is expected to reach between R6m and R6.5m if it is successfully auctioned off.

Van Wyk also confirmed that Kurt and his wife Dunay have moved out of their house in Pretoria and will be moving to Langebaan for the time being, because Kurt will be shooting his latest film in Cape Town next year. He also said that Kurt has sold some of his other properties.

"There is nothing strange about this. Kurt is a good businessman and the selling and buying of property is nothing more than normal."
