Johannesburg –The Australian pop-icon Kylie Minogue was welcomed by the Soweto gospel choir as she arrived in Johannesburg on Thursday, reports iAfrica.
The singer, who will perform five shows in South Africa as part of her Aprhrodite-Les Folies world tour posed for pictures with the choir which she then posted on Twitter.
The singer tweeted:"My welcome to South Africa!!!!! Xxxx " and shortly after she tweeted again thanking the Soweto choir.
Kylie will be performing on 8,9, and 10 July 2011 at the Sun City Superbowl and will then head to Cape Town where she will be performing on 13 and 14 July at the Grand Arena at Grand West.
Her world tour kicked off in Denmark on 19 February. Cape Town will be the last stop on her tour.
The tour promotes her new album Aphrodite which was released last year.
