Los Angeles - Michael Jackson was "in that courtroom" to hear Dr Conrad Murray found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

The late singer's sister, La Toya Jackson, said she felt his presence at the Los Angeles County courthouse on Monday, as his former personal physician was convicted of his death from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009.

As she left the court, she told news network CNN: "He was in that courtroom and that's why victory was served."

Another of Michael's sisters, Rebbie, added: "I'm just happy it's over with. "Nothing will bring him back, but I'm just happy [Dr Murray] was found guilty."

'Tears of joy'

All of the late singer's family were at the court to hear the verdict, apart from his sister, Janet, who is currently in Australia on tour and his three children, Paris, 13, Michael, 14, and Blanket, nine.

Michael's parents, Joe and Katherine – who is legal guardian of his children – said they felt they have finally got justice for their son.

Katherine, 81, said in a statement to TMZ.com: "We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time, and we couldn't hold back tears of joy in the courtroom.

"Even though nothing can bring back our son, justice has finally been served!"

Dr Murray was remanded in custody after the verdict and faces up to four years in prison when sentenced on November 29.

Where did Elvis get all his meds? Did his personal physician take the wrap as well? I don't think so.

The Jacksons were very guilty of neglect towards M.J. They were aware of his problems but chose to ignore them. As long as the money was there, all was ok.

I find this whole case absolute rubbish! Why do celebs deserve special treatment? It was NOT the doctor who went through enough plastic surgery to change a donkey into a whale, it was NOT the doctor who kept going back to him for more, it was MJ's fault, and his alone! Who cares if he was the 'king of pop' ! he was also the 'king of the kids', or does no one remember that? Are we so naive to believe that MJ just lay there, and took the injections and pills, leading to his death???YOU GO TO A DOCTOR TO GET HELP! AND THATS WHAT CONRAD DID!!! An innocent man had gone to jail, there should be a 'special' school for doctors, so they can treat the 'special' people!!!

To the reporter who wrote this article, I have never seen an article so badly written in a long time! You write, "Michael's parents, Joe and Katherine – who is legal guardian of his children – said they felt they have finally got justice for their son.", should read, "Michael's parents, Joe and Katherine – who ARE (Plural) legal GUARDIANS (Plural) of his children – said they felt they have finally got justice for their son. As Latoya left the courtroom, you quote her as saying, "As she left the court, she told news network CNN: "He was in that courtroom and that's why victory was served". I have never heard of victory being served anywhere. She did in fact say "Justice was served". In-fact, she said nothing that you had quoted at all! See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8W6EMlfK1s You say, "Dr Murray was remanded in custody after the verdict and faces up to four years in prison when sentenced on November 29." It should read, "Dr Murray was remanded INTO custody after the verdict and COULD FACE up to four years in prison when sentenced on November 29". Nobody ever said the sentence WOULD be 4 years. Please feel free to criticize my comment if you disagree, or see any mistakes I made in my criticism.

So, they should now reverse the verdict, because if he was there in the courtroom, how could he have been killed by the defendant ?

Just another delusional god junkie who does not accept that dead is DEAD: full stop. No souls floating around courtrooms, no afterlife: nothing. Dead is the same lack of existence as before one is born. Anyone who says otherwise is lying and trying to extract some money from the gullible.
