Lauryn Hill to perform at CT jazz fest

Cape Town – Grammy winner Lauryn Hill is set to perform at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival on March 31.

The Turn your Lights Down Low singer will be live at the Kippies Stage on the final day of the festival.

The organisers were happy that they have managed to secure the singer who rose to stardom as the lead singer of rap-soul crew The Fugees, before going solo.

"We are extremely excited about the addition of Miss Lauryn Hill. She is an exceptional artist and festival goers can expect a sensational show. She completes a line-up of world class acts that audiences have come expect from the festival," said Rashid Lombard, espAfrika CEO.

After leaving The Fugees, Hill launched her solo career with the release of her seminal album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which earned her five Grammy awards including Album of the Year.

Tickets sold-out

All tickets for the festival have been sold out and non-ticket holders have been warned to stay clear of the venue.

"Both public tickets and corporate hospitality tickets are completely sold out.

"Non-ticket holders are urged not to try their luck at the festival gates as there will be no tickets available," said Lombard.
