Local artist's song about Reeva Steenkamp could stir up a storm

Cape Town – While the Oscar Pistorius trial is still playing off in court, a new controversy has hit social media in the form of a song.

Local artist Mathew Gold released a beautiful acoustic song via Twitter on Tuesday about Reeva and what her last words could have been.

He posted the song together with a photo next to Oscar Pistorius on Soundcloud with the following message: "Yesterday I visited the University of Pretoria and took this picture of myself next to Oscar Pistorius. I wrote and recorded this song with a fictional opinion about what Reeav's last words were. This is my unofficial story. This song is not just about Reeva and Oscar , many people are in tough situations daily. This is also for you. (sic)"

The heart-wrenching song include lines such as "When did I choose the wrong love?… Take your ring and your good luck…" and the very dark and sad "I got something to tell you… I had a dream that I dreamt that I choked you!."
