Local legends and new acts set to rock the Cape Town Folk `n Acoustic Music Festival

Cape Town - An array of top South African artists will perform completely acoustically in an intimate, concert-style setting at the Cape Town Folk 'n Acoustic Music Festival on 7 and 8 August.

Artists set to perform include David Kramer, Valiant Swart, MacStanley, Tailor and Donovan Copley (Hot Water).

Their performances will be stripped down to the essence of the songs. This is the 8th instalment and as per normal, the evening is set to be an experience of the finest musical storytelling from the personal journeys of some of South Africa`s best songwriters and musicians.

Organiser Gavin Minter from Real Wired Music says: "Over the last 7 Folk n Acoustic events we have showcased 118 artists and bands, involving approximately 150 musicians. For this next concert we have decided to not repeat any of the artists from the past 7 concerts. We want to keep it fresh! We are honoured to have David Kramer on the line-up. We are also excited about having new talented artists like Fruit Vendor and Chris Werge sharing a stage with legends like Valiant Swart, Tony Cedras and Roger Lucey."

The line-up:

Friday 7 August: David Kramer, Valiant Swart, MacStanley, Tailor, Medicine Boy, Donovan Copley from Hotwater, Andra, Wren Hinds, Faye Oakes, Roger Lucey, Bill Knight Fruit Vendor, Chris Verge, Jasmine Minter.
