Cape Town – The organisers of the new South African music festival, Lief, have announced that the event will be postponed until 2015.
The event, which is a local version of the international outdoor electronic music festival hosted in the Netherlands, was due to take place on 29 March in Stellenbosch.
“Lief Festival regrettably needs to postpone its event to the year of 2015. The organisation is not in the position to guarantee the high standard of the production this year, because of too many uncertainties and too little time,” the organisers announced in a statement on Wednesday afternoon.
“We would like to thank the people who have embraced Lief Festival for their love and enthusiasm, and apologise for the disappointment.”
Those who have already purchased tickets will be reimbursed by logging in here and selecting “my tickets” under “my account” and then clicking on “refund”.
