Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys release new music video

2014-12-06 14:00

Cape Town - Cable Loose Balloon is the second music video released on the psychedelic album, titled Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys.

The 5 song album with its folk, dream pop sounds was recorded over three days in a house in Onrus. The music video, shot in black and white is the perfect imagery to capture the haunting lyrics of the song.

The video was filmed and edited by Barry De Villiers from Roundabout Films that does most of the film work for the projects in which Lucy is involved. Roundabout Films has learnt to create artistic indie videos that are unpolished, with an old school, home-made flair. With a huge passion for film and music, Barry tries to merge the two together in unique ways that compliment each other and tell a story through the symbiosis of music and images. And this music video does just that.

Here are a few other comments on the music video:

"A simple, but powerful journey through black and white visuals - they managed to capture a certain honesty that perfectly complements Lucy's unique voice. Simply beautiful." – Elsa,

The video for Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys’ ‘Cable Loose Balloon' evokes a deep sadness, while the black and white nature and bedroom footage don't take your attention away from the amazing lyrics and music that accompany it.  A big applause to Roundabout Films." Vicky Jankievicz.

Beautifully haunting imagery that compliments the incredible tone of Lucy Kruger’s voice.” – Jina Min,
