Luna Paige embarks on national tour for her new album

Cape Town - Luna is celebrating the release of her 5th album in the month of May with a national tour.

This week she will be playing at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria on Thursday, 15 May. Tickets are R150 and are available from Computicket or phone 012 471 1700 to book.

The album is a collection of songs Luna wrote and composed over a period of 5 years since the release of her third album Wonderful life. Since the release of Wonderful life Luna introduced her first Afrikaans music production to the music industry and released her first Afrikaans CD and live DVD, Storielied.

Wonderful life and Storielied took Luna on interesting journeys across SA as well as performances in the Netherlands, where she will be performing again in June 2014.

Luna has a few surprises up her sleeve with her new album. The album (which was produced by Fiesta winner, Schalk Joubert) was recorded in an unconventional way. Most of the album was recorded in Schalk’s house on Monterosso Wine Farm outside Stellenbosch. The result is a raw, stripped and honest sound which reveals the emotion in Luna’s songs so much more effectively.
In this album Luna also dabbles in country and blues, surprises with a happy song or two and introduces her first ever a capella song.

Singer Andriëtte Norman agreed to record a duet with Luna. Find your light is a positive song in which these to songstresses’ voices gel in the most incredible way.

Blues singer, Gerald Clark delivered an emotional performance in the duet, One day. This song was written by Luna especially for Gerald Clark and herself – and was performed as part of the LOVEMORE show – a music production Luna and Gerald have been working on for the last 2 years. Luna decided to record this song due to its popularity at LOVEMORE shows.
