Cape Town – The nominees for the 2012 MK Awards have been announced and public voting has officially opened.
The list of nominees and categories were announced and voting channels opened on Thursday during a live broadcast of Studio 1. Voting – which will take place via MK's website and social media platforms – will remain open until 20:00 on March 1.
The MK Awards winners will be announced on March 23 at 20:00 on MK – Channel 324 on the DSTV bouquet. The award show will be hosted at The State Theatre in Pretoria.
This year also sees the inclusion of a brand new category, namely Best Indie.

Voting on Facebook and Mxit for the 'Live' category puts viewers in line to win a Hyundai i20.
