Madonna's tour truck overturns

Los Angeles - One of Madonna's tour trucks has overturned in Sweden.

The Girls Gone Wild  singer is currently working her way across Europe on her MDNA  tour, but things were thrown into crisis on Tuesday after a vehicle carrying the sound system for the concerts overturned, damaging equipment and injuring at least one person.

The truck was driving toward Gothenburg at the time of the accident, during rush hour, and the crash blocked parts of the highway.

Police said three cars were damaged, and equipment was thrown into the road.

Sterilisation team

It is not yet known if the accident will affect the singer's scheduled show in Gothenburg on Thursday.

Christopher Akesson, a spokesperson for Live Nation, the tour's organiser, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper:

"We are working to prepare for the concert.

"I suspect that if there was anything serious, we would have had information about it by this time."

Earlier in the tour, it emerged that Madonna has a "sterilisation team" who wipe away any DNA in her dressing room after shows on the tour.

Concert promoter Álvaro Ramos, who oversaw the Portuguese leg of her dates, said:

"We have to take extreme care, like I have never seen for any other artist. We cannot even look at the dressing room, after it is ready, or even open the door.

"We can only enter after her sterilisation team has left the room. There will not be any of Madonna's DNA, any hair, or anything. They will clean up everything. In the end it is all to protect her and make her feel comfortable.

"I do understand it, but it is taken to extremes."
