Memorial service to be held for Fredi Nest

Cape Town - Popular Afrikaans singer Fredi Nest will be remembered at a memorial service held at the NG Church Valeisig Garsfontein in Pretoria Thursday, 9 July at 11:00.

The singer died on Friday after a short battle with cancer.

Nest was admitted to hospital after showing signs of a stroke in May. Tests performed however confirmed that he had two brain tumours, according to Maroela Media. He was immediately admitted to the Steve Biko Academic Hospital for treatement.

All are welcome in remembering the singer.
