Cape Town - Ram Touring is gearing up for another big act for its alternative audience.
Asking Alexandria is a UK metalcore band that will be hitting South African soil next year in May, with shows at Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville and The Expo Center at Nasrec in Johannesburg.
The band has won numerous awards, including The Best Metal/Hardcore Album from the Independent Music Awards last year and has been promoting their latest album From Death To Destiny.
"Since our formation, we have toured all over the world, released 3 studio albums album and made the most amazing friends and fans along the way. We have absolutely no intentions of slowing down," says Asking Alexandria's guitarist Ben Bruce.
They will be supported by local band Facing the Gallows, who describe their genre as "Extremedoomglampunkcrustygrindblackdeathsludgeantichristprognumetalspeedvikingstonerpowercore" - according to their Facebook page.
Tickets are selling for R350 on plankton.mobi, whose site is currently broken, perhaps by the influx of fans.
