Metallica opening acts announced

Cape Town – 5FM and MK on Wednesday announced the opening acts for Metallica's South African tour.

After fans were given the opportunity to nominate and vote for their favourite artists, Afrikaans rockers Van Coke Kartel and local heavyweights Chromium and Pestroy have been chosen as the opening acts for Metallica's SA tour.

SAMA-winning Van Coke Kartel will be opening for Metallica on both their Cape Town dates on 24 and 25 April at the Velodrome in Bellville.

Pestroy and Chromium will be opening for Metallica on 27 April at the Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.


Tickets are still available for the Johannesburg and Cape Town shows. Prices range from R340 – R850.

Tickets are available from Big Concert or Computicket.
