Cape Town - Big Concerts announced on Monday that the multi Grammy award winning singer, Michael Bublé, will be returning to Cape Town in 2015 performing in a brand new intimate configuration at Cape Town Stadium.
Working in depth with Cape Town Stadium and Gearhouse, Big Concerts has reconfigured the standard stadium setup into a new, fully seated, more intimate setup with the stage positioned nearest to the south quadrant of the stadium.
"We’ve spent a lot of time in the last year and a half or so working on new plans and drawings on how we can configure Cape Town stadium into a more intimate venue," Director of Big Concerts, Justin Van Wyk told Channel24.
"Where the stage was usually built on the North side of the stadium playing to the South, what we’ve done now is we’ve moved the stage forward to the half-line of the field, to create this little corner of the stadium.
“You will almost be 60 to 70 meters closer than before, so the sound experience and the visual experience with the lay out and the kind of stage we’re building will ensure that everyone has a better seat," says Van Wyk.
"Michael Bublé will be the first concert in this new stadium layout. Fans will be treated to an evening of Michael Bublé with exceptional sound and a world-class production played out in an intimate setting," Van Wyk says.
Van Wyk also added: "This new configuration will enable us to bring a whole range of new tours to Cape Town which previously may have been left out. However, capacity is limited with only 3 seating blocks on the field and we urge fans to get their tickets early."Get tickets to this unique Cape Town performance on viagogo.co.za, the world’s largest ticket marketplace. You can also get tickets to watch Michael Bublé in Durban and Johannesburg.
