Michael Jackson's estate issues cease and desist to Conrad Murray

2013-11-29 14:35
Los Angeles - Michael Jackson's estate has issued as cease and desist letter to Dr Conrad Murray.

The disgraced medic has given a number of revealing interviews about his former patient since his release from jail in October after serving two years for the involuntary manslaughter of the singer in 2009, and the star's estate want him to stop.

Lawyer Howard Weitzman has written to Dr Murray calling him "cowardly" for not taking the stand during his trial and warning him he has violated his professional contract with his former patient.

The letter, obtained by RadarOnline.com, reads: "Your recent comments to the media about Mr Jackson's medical treatment and ultimate death shamefully violate the physician-patient privilege under California law.

"Your interviews about Mr Jackson's personal life, health, and recent stories about the medical treatment you supposedly provided him as a 'friend,' disclose precisely the type of information that the physician-patient privilege is designed to protect."

'I held his penis every night'

The letter goes on to say Michael's estate will sue Dr Murray if he continues to talk, and they plan to advise any medical board where he may try to get his medical license reinstated he has breached doctor-patient privilege.

Revelations made by Dr Murray include claims Michael was incontinent at night and he had to fit a catheter to him before he went to bed.

He said: "He wore dark trousers all the time because after he went to the toilet he would drip for hours.

"You want to know how close Michael and I were? I held his penis every night. I had to put a condom catheter on him because Michael dripped urine. He had a loss of sensation and was incontinent.

"Michael didn't know how to put a condom on, so I had to do it for him."
