More local and international headline acts announced for the Tribe One Music Festival

Pretoria  - ICYMI Nicki Minaj, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Kid Ink, J Cole and loads more will be hitting the City of Tshwane hard later this year for a three day music festival called Tribe One that will take place from Friday, 26 September till Sunday, 28 September 2014.

Awesome, hey? Well that’s not all folks, as it was just announced that even more acts have been added to the bill.

Who? We’ve got the details you need!

First up we have D’banj who has won a slew of awards like Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007; Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009; Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards 2011; Best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards AND He was appointed Nigeria’s first United Nations Ambassador for Peace In 2008.

Damn, busy man.

Check him and Kanye West out in his video for Oliver Twist.

Next up, we have Nigerian born chart favourite Wizkid, who is currently recording with the world’s most famous woman beater Chris Brown.

See him with an African music legend, Femi Kuti, in his video for Jaiye Jaiye here:

South Africa will be well represented by music video star and trailblazer Khuli Chana who got shot by police a little while ago in a much publicised incident but has bounced back well.

Check him out in his video for his hit Mnatebawen below:

Next up sees sensational rapper Sarkodie, Ghana’s undisputed number 1 artist for the past 5 years.

See him in his video for Azonto Fiesta Ft. Appietus & Kesse here:

Also repping mzansi will be Bellville’s number 1 export, after mullets, Jack Parow. His videos and songs are damn near inescapable and this video for Bloubek is truly bizarre as it features the rapper getting beaten up by a life-size bunny rabbit. We love it.

We can’t wait to see what he does on stage!

Up next we have the artists behind our favourite song on radio right now: Lights Out.
Its genre benders: Phfat. Have a listen below and tell us what you think:

They’re bound to bring something new to the stage.

Veteran performer and controversial tweeter AKA will also hit the stage and he’s likely to perform this top 40 hit of his, Jealousy.

Joining this hefty line-up will be the Boyz n Bucks clique who in case you don’t know, include some of the hottest rap talents in South Africa. You can see them in this uber hot video for Gusheshe by Cassper Nyovest ft. OkMalumKoolKat .

Rounding out the list of announced acts for Tribe one is Amerigo Gazaway who is an American DJ from Nashville. He has recorded with Fela Soul (Fela Kuti + De La Soul).
