New Die Antwoord song talks SA history

Cape Town - South African zef-rap group Die Antwoord has released their new music video, Dis Iz Why I’m Hot, reports 2OceansVibe.

The video begins with Yo-landi singing a line from the national anthem. A text screen then compares Die Antwoord to Nelson Mandela and District 9 as pivotal items in South Africa's history.

The lyrics reference "racism, apartheid and crime" while later in the track a few lines are dedicated to Twilight couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's recent split.

Ninja and Yo-landi kick the video off by saying: "A raw-ass lil home-made video we made on tour just 4 fun", referring to their recent tour in the US, where they also appeared on Late Night with David Letterman.

The video has had more than 80 000 views on YouTube since it went viral on 4 September.
