There are few bands out there which better suit the rock ’n roll aesthetics (or lack thereof) of the OppiKoppi tribe.

Straight shooting modern rock ’n roll with a respectful nudge to the founding fathers, this band comes at Oppikoppi like an open top gasoline filled rocket ship looking for a naked flame. If you like Led Zepplin you’ll love them.

Expect chaos.

All of this on the back of a brand new recording entitled New Crown. Like all their previous albums New Crown features what will become rock ’n roll standards such as “She’s Got It”, “Tangerine Dream”, “I Don’t Know Why” and more and more and more.

Add a few of these to rock ’n roll classics like: Joker and the Thief, Dimension, Woman and it will become clear why the OppiKoppi family considers this one of their favorite acts of the last decade.

Here’s a clip of one of their biggest hit New Moon Rising:

“We have not been able to sleep properly since confirming the band’s performance” - said a visibly tearful Misha Loots - “We have been trying to get them onto our stage for the last 4 or 5 years. Just think about it: the craziness of an OppiKoppi audience in front of a band like Wolfmother, in the middle of the African bushveld. You don’t know if you must laugh or cry. But you must definitely bring a gum guard I think.”

You can also get tickets to the event here.
