Oppikoppi reveals 2013 festival theme

2013-03-18 12:07
Cape Town - Oppikoppi announced the theme for its 19th annual rock festival to be held in Northam in the North West.

Every year the Oppikoppi team delivers a funky, original theme to underpin the festival.

The theme for Oppikoppi 19 is BewilderBeast.

The theme name was inspired by the name of an album by Badly Drawn Boy, titled The hour of the Bewilderbeast.

The Oppikoppi team commissioned Cape Town based artist Michael Taylor to produce two pieces for this year's festival. Oppikoppi will also be making big prints of the posters available for art collectors at a later stage.

Oppikoppi 19: BewilderBeast will be taking place from 8 to 10 August.

Christmas tickets have already sold out. Early bird tickets are R650 and will go on sale on 19 March at 09:00. The ticket price includes an official festival shirt (limited to 1000 tickets).

Regular tickets are R800 on Oppikoppi's Facebook page or R650 from the Standard Bank youth portal. The release date will be announced soon.
