Park and Ride chaos at U2 Jhb

Johannesburg -  U2 fans who used the park and ride facility to the concert in Johannesburg have complained bitterly about the lack of a proper exit strategy from the stadium.

Facebook messages indicated that fans were left standing for long periods waiting for buses.

Christian Nenkov wrote: "We're waiting for dome buses. They seem to be all over the place. No management. Officials here are confused and contradictory."

Maimie Vermeulen also noted that "At 01h10 there's only ONE GRC bus for 1000's and 1000's of fans! :("

Some fans were a little luckier.  Angie Evans wrote: "Thanks BC, our trip was awesome. We went to the exact place we were dropped off at and people giving us directions to the empty buses were great. That is, cause we were at constitutional hill. Friends took the dome buses and they had such a hard time."

But for some, the experience turned out less than savoury. Louise Dickerson fumed: "Thanks guys, due to complete lack of bus organisation, got shoved and pushed to the ground. Crazy people running and pushing as soon as they see a bus. Security acted like they new nothing and just stood there! Is it so hard to form a few lines and point people in the right direction?!"

Big Concerts endeavoured to investigate the matter during the debriefing.
