Pixie Geldof pulls out of Coachella after sister's death

Los Angeles - Pixie Geldof has pulled out of the Coachella Festival following the death of her sister Peaches earlier this week.

The 23-year-old socialite has cancelled her DJ set at the annual event, held in California, on 12 April, after her older sibling was found dead at her home in Kent, South East England, on Monday.

Coachella organisers told Digital Spy: "We can confirm that Pixie Geldof was scheduled to DJ at The Old Navy Oasis event, but is no longer participating."

The 25-year-old star's heartbroken father Bob Geldof flew home to London on Tuesday to be with his daughters Fifi, 31, Pixie and Tiger-Lily, 17, following the devastating news.

A post-mortem carried out on Wednesday into the death of Peaches - who leaves behind her sons Astala, 23 months, Phaedra, 11 months, and her husband Thomas Cohen - proved to be "inconclusive".

Her family will now have an agonising wait for a toxicology report - including test results for alcohol and drugs - which could take up to several weeks.

A decision on whether an inquest should be held depends on the results of the examination.

Police have so far described her tragic death as "sudden and unexplained", but non-suspicious as there were no drugs or a suicide note found at her home.
