Los Angeles - Prince claims Glastonbury festival organisers "illegally" use his name to promote the event.
The Raspberry Beret hitmaker insists he has never been in negotiations to perform at the three-day concert in Somerset, South West England, but thinks promoters - who only officially unveil the line-up a few weeks before it takes place - spread rumours he will be headlining in order to sell more tickets.
He said: "They use my name to sell the festival. It's illegal. I've never spoken to anyone about doing that concert, ever."

Prince - who will headline the Hop Farm festival in Kent, South East England on July 3 - also admitted he "hates" digital music because he thinks the technology affects the way people listen to the sounds.
He explained in an interview to be published in The Guardian newspaper: "I personally can't stand digital music. You're getting sound in bits. It affects a different place in your brain. When you play it back, you can't feel anything. We're analogue people, not digital."
While Prince will not be headlining Glastonbury this weekend, festivalgoers will see U2, Coldplay and Beyonce Knowles close the main stage of the festival on consecutive nights.
