Los Angeles - Prince has debuted a new track, Ain't Gonna Miss U When U're Gone, online.

The 55-year-old singer released the funky six minute song, featuring Grammy-nominated songwriter, Ledisi, on his official website 3rdEyeGirl on Wednesday.

The new track comes a month after he made another song FixUrLifeUp available via online purchase.

Unusual venues

Prince also unveiled previous songs Rock and Roll Love Affair, Screwdriver and Breakfast Can Wait as part of his 3rdEyeGirl campaign last year, before embarking on a North American theatre tour earlier this year.

The star - who has recently signed a new record deal with Kobalt Music Group - is also reportedly looking forward to playing at intimate and "unusual" venues around the UK later in the year and is expected to release his forthcoming studio Plectrum Electrum in the near future.

It has also been confirmed Prince will appear on Janelle Monae's upcoming LP The Electric Lady, set for release in September.
