Recently re-located Canadian songwriter calls South Africa 'overwhelming'

Cape Town – We sat down with international recording artist Natasha Meister, who originally hails from London, Ontario and got to know her better.

The bubbly songstress opened up about her roots, her influences and more.

A few things we found out:

1) Her mother is actually South African.

2) She grew up listening to BB King and loads more!

3) When she first came to Cape Town she was overwhelmed by the mountains and ocean.

4) She is launching her new album this Thursday, 19 June!

See the video interview here:

While Natasha was in our studio she was kind enough to indulge our interviewer, Jennifer’s, dreams of being a muso and taught her a few chords on the guitar. It’s pretty much the cutest struggle we’ve seen and very likely to brighten up your day.

Take a look below:

How great are the up-and-coming superstar’s guitar skills? We love her dexterous digits so much we asked her to play one of her new songs, Shadow.
