Robbie Williams plans 2nd big band album

Los Angeles - Robbie Williams is releasing a second big band album.

The 38-year-old pop star wants to make another record in the same style as his 2001 hit Swing When You're Winning and he is planning on going into the studio once he has completed his Take the Crown Stadium Tour in August.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Robbie can't sit still, he always wants to do something different from the previous album.

"He's currently weighing up which swing classics to record. There are so many, so it's going to be a tough choice."

Gary could feature on a track

The source added: "He loved Swing When You're Winning and is looking forward to playing with a big band again."

Robbie's most recent release Take the Crown saw him return to mainstream pop and his hit single Candy was co-written by his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.

Swing When You're Winning was comprised of swing classics, such as Mack the Knife and Mr Bojangles, and featured a number of duets, including collaborations with Nicole Kidman on Somethin' Stupid and They Can't Take That Away from Me with Rupert Everett.

It is rumoured Gary could feature on a track further cementing the pair's repaired friendship since Robbie rejoined Take That in 2010.
