Rocking quickie: The Presets talk braai with us

Cape Town - We are counting the sleeps until Rocking the Daisies 2014 kicks off on the Cloof Wine Estate outside Darling in the Western Cape. (Get all the deets here)

To get everyone in the festival mood, we cornered some of our favourite acts that will be performing at this year’s event for a quickie.

What’s a quickie? It’s a brief or spontaneous episode consisting of five frisky questions in which celebs and Channel24 have a brief frolic leaving all parties involved feeling satisfied and craving a cigarette.

The Australian electronic music duo, The Presets, definitely had us reaching for our smokes after this wild quickie:

People say South Africa and Australia are very similar. Have you ever been to South Africa before? Can you confirm or deny the similarities?

My girlfriend is actually South African. I have never visited South Africa myself but I feel like I already have a bit of an introduction to SA. At least I am used to the accent.

We call it a braai in South Africa and in Oz it’s a "barbie". Are you guys herbivores, carnivores or omnivores?

Most definitely omnivores. We don't discriminate - we eat everything equally.

What’s the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done at a music festival?

Kinkiest? Um, not really anything. We just provide the soundtrack to whatever kinky shit the audience wants to get into. And we have seen some wild stuff (one particular show at the Folsom St Fair in San Francisco comes to mind - Google image search it).

Which song (any song) best describes your personality?

They all do. We have many moods, and many songs to match them. Sometimes I listen back to our old music and it really reminds me of how we were in those days.

On average how many selfies do you take during a music festival?

Zero. Selfies are the beginning of the end of civilisation. Selfies are more dangerous than ISIS.

*Rocking the Daisies takes place from 2 - 5 October at the Cloof Wine Estate in the Western Cape.

*If you can't make it to #RTD2014 and you live in Jozi then you should definitely get tickets to Vodacom in the City on 3 October.
