Rocking the Daisies announces big international headliner

2014-06-24 09:30
Cape Town - Rocking the Daisies announced on Tuesday that US indie rock act MGMT will be one of the international headliners for this year’s festival.

This announcement comes mere weeks after revealing the highly acclaimed international acts Rudimental and Crystal Fighters both from the UK.
MGMT, comprising of Andrew Van Wyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, will command the attention of fans with their euphoric and tongue-in-cheek take on modern rock, while enthralling fans with the massive global hits, KIDS, Electric Feel, Time to Pretend and more.

Local acts Jeremy Loops, John Wizards, Beatenberg, Arno Carstens & Francois Van Coke and over 120 more acts will be taking to the Daisies stages over four days from Thursday 2 October to Sunday 5 October on the Cloof Wine Estate in Darling.

MGMT will also be performing at Vodacom In The City (VITC). It is an annual indie rock festival that takes place for one night in the heart of Joburg’s city centre. This year, VITC hits Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown on Friday 3 October 2014.
