Cape Town – Swedish pop duo Roxette described OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg as one of the worst airports in the world.

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, who performed in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban last week, posted the following on their Facebook page on Saturday:

"Just spent 90 minutes at one of the world's worst airports; Johannesburg. Could actually be the No 1 on that scary list....Good God, how about some organization with customs etc? Leaving now. Thank you."

On Monday, the post had more than 100 comments with some fans saying a 90-minute wait "was not that long", while others blamed the government for poor service delivery.

Roxette later replied to Facebook users with the following comment: "We love South Africa. You know that! But someone should fix the logistix at Jo-burg Airport. A job for BoJo maybe?"
