Cape Town - Durban folk musician Syd Kitchen has died at the age of 60.
East Coast Radio reports that according to friends and family, Kitchen died on Tuesday evening after a battle with terminal cancer.
The poet and songwriter had produced 10 albums throughout his career and supplied the words and music to a documentary film called Fool In A Bubble.
Kitchen had been making music since the 1970s. He would have played his 21st Splashy Fen festival in the Drakensberg in April.
