Scott goes psycho in Kanye's Yeezus promo

Los Angeles - Scott Disick gives a disturbing debut acting performance in Kanye West's album promo.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star - who dates Kanye's girlfriend Kim's older sister Kourtney Kardashian - channels Christian Bale's American Psycho role as Patrick Bateman in the short video teaser for the rapper's new record Yeezus.

He appears alongside Kim's best friend Jonathan Cheban, who takes on Jared Leto's character Paul Allen in Kanye's spoof video.

Kanye's huge ego

Scott, 30, dresses as fictional serial killer Bateman in a white raincoat and pretends to brutally murder Cheban with an axe, all the while promoting his pal's latest musical offering.

He asks: "Hey, do you like Kanye West? The early work was a little too hip-hop for me and my taste, but when Dark Twisted Fantasy came out in 2010, I think he really came into his own both musically and lyrically."

The reality star then goes on to dub Yeezus Kanye's "most exciting record by far", and makes a joke about Kanye's supposedly massive ego.

Scott raves: "There's the song I'm a God. The title practically speaks for itself, but of course the insecurities of the mainstream music press will never understand its true meaning because it's about me!"

Was James Franco not available?

The comical scene culminates with Scott - who is known for his erratic temper in real life - hacking at Jonathan with the axe.

He yells: "Hey, Jonathan! Try getting the Yeezus album now, motherfucker!"

Kanye allegedly wanted a bigger star for his musical project - which had a $100 000 budget - and was keen on James Franco to portray Bateman.
