Snoop Dogg busted with dagga, cash

2012-06-29 08:26
Oslo - Norwegian media are reporting that Snoop Dogg was briefly detained in Norway after entering the country with marijuana and a large amount of cash.

Customs officials decline to confirm the report, saying only that an American artist entered Norway with a small amount of marijuana that was detected by a sniffer-dog. Norwegian law prevents law enforcement officials from naming suspects.

A customs officer who spoke on condition of anonymity said on Thursday that the artist was also carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was subsequently fined 52 000 kroner ($8 600) for the violations.

Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform on Thursday at a musical festival in the southern town of Kristiansand.

The rapper, whose name is Calvin Broadus, has in the past been arrested on marijuana possession.

Didn’t (the) Nelson Mandela (foundation) bail him out of Heathrow a couple of years ago so he could perform here?

How is this news? It's snoop dog. This happens every three or four days.

Celebrities. They have it all but they lack contentment, and still live trashy lives. Grow up Snoop!

Snoop is like a Chinese toothpaste ,toxic and banned in many countries

  • sagin.verity - 2012-06-29 10:47

Just legalize the stuff already. Its really backward to promote and accept alcohol so widely, and yet this amazing plant is criminalized. As a species we are backward in many ways.

      Ninjinvee - 2012-06-29 11:32

Your comment makes no sense. Marijuana has nothing to do with the progression of a species 0_o I bet you'd give your kids marijuana!

      michael.moets - 2012-06-29 12:52

      I would.

      Ninjinvee - 2012-06-29 14:16

      Your morals proven...stupid man

      buzz.rsa - 2012-07-03 12:23

@Ninjinvee: We promote the use of one substance openly and legally, while criminalizing the use of a significantly safer substance. Where are your morals? Who said anything about giving it to kids? Oh yes, drug dealers want to.

I read a statistic the other day (think it was News24), that there are over 250 000 000 people worldwide that smoke marijuana. That's really significant. Governments should legalize it and tax it like they do cigarettes and booze. Besides, you don't really hear stories about motor accidents involving people high on weed, but it is a constant struggle with alcohol.

      michael.moets - 2012-06-29 12:52

      Right on

  • Ninjinvee - 2012-06-29 12:18

Because the masses do it, doesn't mean that it is correct. Imagine, for your kids, the society that would be if marijuana was legalized. If at all, governments should ban alcohol too. The world has become a very pathetic and sick place. It is now very common for fathers to be consuming alcohol with their 19yr old kids. What kind of a society has it become that this is recognised as "a good father-son relationship"? Man is on the road to self-destruction.

Go back to church. Stop telling me what I can or can't do.

      michael.moets - 2012-06-29 12:55

Or temple it seems might be more fitting.

      Ninjinvee - 2012-06-29 14:15

I'm not telling you what you can or can't do. If that's how you interpreted it, then it shows your lack of intellect to correctly interpret a simple sentence. It's only my opinion. Numbskull. And I am not religious. I follow spirituality. U should go back to school and develop some morals. The drug rehab centre seems more fitting for you! F**ker

      Ninjinvee - 2012-06-29 14:37

And what kind of a closed world do u live in? Just because I'm indian doesn't mean that I go to temple. You're such a closed-minded dumbf**k

      buzz.rsa - 2012-07-03 12:35

Yes Ninjinvee, let's imagine it: Drug dealers would not be punting it to kids. We would have lower teen and adult use. Kids would not be exposed to harder drugs by drug dealers. Alchohol and tobacco users would have a safer alternative. We would be able to tax and regulate an untapped industry. Organised crime would lose a significant source of income. We would be able to use hemp for it's thousands of uses as well. Easy and affordable access to a diverse medicine. Your line of thinking is a century behind the times. Prohibiting alchohol did not work, just as prohibiting cannabis is not working. Thank you for showing that the problem is not cannabis use, but is rather those who oppose it. P.S. Cannabis prohibition was founded as a tool for oppressing your "indian" forefathers. It's disheartening that you are so out of touch with your very history. Perhaps you are the one who lacks morals or an education.

      Ninjinvee - 2012-07-06 22:54

Did I mention that I'm over this comment and your perception of your small world? At least now you know :)
