South African singer to appear on Jimmy Kimmel talk show

New York - The band St. Lucia, led by South African born singer Jean-Philip Grobler, will be appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel Show on Tuesday night.

Kimmel, known for his headline making interviews, invited the New York based electronic pop band to perform on his show.

Lead singer Grobler is originally from Johannesburg and grew up performing with the Drakensberg Boys Choir School.

However the band is no stranger to the spotlight with two of their songs being used in both a Taco Bell and Victoria Secret campaign.

During a recent interview with thousandsguitars.com Grobler revealed that he was most excited about the Victoria Secret campaign: "It was full of beautiful women in their underwear wandering about somewhat provocatively. None of them let us sample their merchandise, unfortunately."

Channel24 had a quick chat with Grobler after the recording of the Kimmel show.

"We just shot the Kimmel performance in Los Angeles and we're on the runway about to fly to Houston for our next support date with Two Door Cinema Club. It never stops! It’s amazing."

St. Lucia consists out of J Grobler, Patricia Beranek, Nick Brown, Ross Clark and Nick Paul. Grobler and Patricia are married.
