The Parlotones moving to Los Angeles

Cape Town - The Parlotones have announced that they are moving to Los Angeles in January 2013, reports Rolling Stone.

According to the band's representative, negotiations for their own TV show focusing on their new adventure are also currently under way.

Due to an ever-increasing demand for the band that has resulted in five trips to the States in the past 12 months, living in the US will enable them better access to the world's biggest music market, their spokesperson added.

The Parlotones have released seven albums to date.

The band has also been named "Biggest selling rock band of the decade" in South Africa.

The Parlotones performed at the FIFA 2010 World Cup opening concert and toured with Snow Patrol in Europe. They also opened for British band Coldplay at Soccer City and the Cape Town stadium when they toured South Africa in 2011.
